History of Nichiryu Group
1974 June Founded with capital of ¥100 million yen.
Heijiro Natsuhara appointed President. Isamu Okuwa, Yoshimasa Yamanishi, and others appointed Vice Presidents.
Operations begin at headquarters located at 4-8 Honmachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka (Marusu Building).
1975 February Sales turnover for 1st accounting year (9 months) is ¥931 million.
1976 February Sales turnover for 2nd accounting year is ¥9.38 billion.
  April Headquarters moved to present address at 1-15 Honmachi 3-chome, Chuo-ku, Osaka (Osaka Shiga Building).
1980 November Consumer Co-operative Kobe and Kinsho Stores, Inc. join Nichiryu Group.
1981 April Consumer Co-operative Sapporo joins Nichiryu Group.
1984 February Sales turnover for 10th accounting year is ¥76.298 billion.
  June Celebration held to commemorate 10th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
  July Sunny Mart Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group.
1985 February Capital increased to ¥171 million.
1986 March Nishina Department Store Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group.
1989 January Nichie Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group.
  February Sales turnover for 15th accounting year is ¥108.3 billion.
  June Celebration held to commemorate 15th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
  September San-A Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 16 companies and 2 cooperatives.
1992 August Ryobi Holdings Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 17 companies and 2 cooperatives.
  November Yamazawa Co., Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 18 companies and 2 cooperatives. Capital increased to ¥213 million.
1994 February Sales turnover for 20th accounting year is ¥182.9 billion.
  June Celebration held to commemorate 20th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
1995 January Shanghai office opens.
  November Debut of corporate brand Kurashi More.
1999 February Sales turnover for 25th accounting year is ¥253.0 billion.
  May Heijiro Natsuhara appointed Chairman, Yoshimasa Yamanichi appointed Vice Chairman, and Ikuji Okuwa appointed President.
  July Ceremony held to commemorate appointment of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and President on 25th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
2001 March ISO 14001 certification obtained.
  September Qingdao office opens.
2003 October Celebration held to commemorate 30th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
2004 February Sales turnover for 30th accounting year is ¥216.4 billion.
Nobutsugu Shimizu appointed Second Vice Chairman.
2005 November U Co-op Federation joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 14 companies and 3 cooperatives.
2006 May Create SD Co., Ltd., joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 15 companies and 3 cooperatives.
2007 March Eco’s Co., Ltd., and Saeki Co., Ltd., join Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 16 companies and 3 cooperatives.
  July Bangkok office opens.
2008 April Celebration held to commemorate 35th anniversary of Nichiryu’s founding.
2008 August Marumiyastore Co., Ltd., joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 17 companies and 3 cooperatives.
2008 November Fuji Citio Corp. joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 18 companies and 3 cooperatives.
2009 February Heijiro Natsuhara appointed Honorary Chairman and Nobutsugu Shimizu appointed Chairman.
Sales turnover for 35th accounting year is ¥249.2 billion.
2010 June Sapporo Drug Store co.,Ltd. joins Nichiryu Group. Total affiliates stand at 18 companies and 3 cooperatives.
